The studio-apartment is located in a separate building next to our gallery-home. It is one room 16 x 16 with a loft and has a kitchenette and bathroom with shower. It is fully furnished and you can move in with only your clothes. It is a very quiet and private place to live. Rent is low because tenant is occasionally asked to help with gallery or care for animals. Helping will not be often or demanding in any way and we will accommodate your schedule. We have two dogs, a cat, a few chickens and four horses. The horses have a large grazing area and usually require only water in the tank. Other animals are very easy to care for. Picture below is of the buildings as seen from the road. We are 25 miles west of Socorro on Hwy. 60. Rent is $285/mo. with a $150 security deposit. This includes all utilities. You also have free internet (provided you use it for e-mail and don't download so much you exceed our limit of 5 gb) and we have Dish TV.
If you are a student at Tech, please note that you will drive about 27 miles one way. It would be best for a grad student not having to attend classes daily. It would also be an excellent apt. for a teacher at Magdalena School since it is located only 3/4 mile from there.
Please be prepared to supply two references. Previous landlords are preferred.
